This page explains what happens to information you send through this website. It is deliberately short, because this site collects very little.
This is not your clinical privacy notice. Confidentiality of your counseling records is governed by HIPAA and by the Notice of Privacy Practices you receive when you become a client — a separate document with far broader protections. This page covers only the website.

That information is stored in a private spreadsheet and emailed to me so I can respond. It is used only to reply to your enquiry. It is not sold, shared, or used for advertising.
Please don’t send clinical details through the form. It is a general enquiry channel, not a secure clinical one. Diagnoses, medical history, medication, and anything else sensitive should wait until we speak or until you have access to the client portal, which is built for that purpose.

The Book a Consult and Client Portal links open TherapyAppointment, the practice management system used for scheduling, secure messaging, telehealth, and billing. Once you are there, TherapyAppointment’s own privacy terms apply. It is designed to handle health information; this website is not.
Enquiries that do not become client relationships are removed periodically once they are no longer needed. If you become a client, your clinical record is kept separately in TherapyAppointment under the retention rules that apply to counseling records in Alabama — not in anything connected to this website.

This practice serves adults. The website is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 through it.
Nothing on this website is monitored around the clock. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or dial 911.
If this notice changes, the revision date below changes with it.
